The Mud Truck

The Mud Truck is an interesting twist to the regular lunch truck that we normally find parked outside construction sites. This truck, parked outside the Astor Place (4th Avenue & 8th Street) subway station, targets mainly the subway riders and the already over-caffeinated New Yorkers on the street. I'm one of those over-caffeinated New Yorkers who drink three to four cups of coffee a day, especially when I'm on vacation or cafe-hopping in the city on weekends.

So how much coffee do you drink a day? And what kind of coffee do you like best?

I read about the MUD truck a few years ago but never got to see it in person.

I was a casual coffee drinker until about a year ago and now I average 2 cups a day during the work week. I would have to say my favorite is a tie between Italian roast and French Vanilla

Ah, COFFEE -:)

For many, many years I averaged probably 8-12 cups every day. That might include espresso, latte, cappuccino, Americano or just plain drip. Most every night I would have either a latte or espresso just before going to bed. Honest. A couple years ago I changed my pattern and after 2 cups of drip in the morning move on to about 8 cups of tea, though still often have a latte or espresso or macchiatto just before bed.

Happy Easter!

I drink 4 cups of regular and sometimes that many of decaf. I was put in the hospital once from drinking too much starbucks that sent my heart racing. So....A very nice photograph with your post today.

One café au lait per day, for breakfast. And sometimes an espresso in the afternoon.

I'm like you Ming...a coffee addict.

Mornings I like to grind my own coffee, switching off between Irving Farm's Sinful Delight and Trader Joe's French Roast. I also like Illy brand, and if I'm in the village, I'll stop by Puerto Rico and try something new.

Honestly, I'm not in love with the Mud truck coffee, or Starbucks regular, though I do like their cappuccino and lattes.

My home state of Louisiana is legendary for Coffee and Beignets( www.cafedumonde.com ). Many friends ask locals to please ship the traditional La. coffee brand called 'Community Coffee' ( www.communitycoffee.com ) to them because it's almost impossible to find outside the state.

Now..that being said..I'm a huge Folgers Coffee drinker.

Medium roast baby!

Twice a day..--> 6am and 4pm.

Ahh-eee.

It can't have to work very hard at attracting people, what with it being bright orange!

Interesting post about the Mud Truck.

Coffee? I NEVER used to drink it, but I started after we moved to Nashville. I normally drink regular coffee msot of the time, but I have a non-fat latte every morning.

One cup a day. Black!
I do go for a variety only during weekends when we are out or meeting friends over a cup-o!

Actually, I think the Mud Truck is pretty much my favorite -- at least, on a sunny day when I don't mind sipping al fresco.
