Last year, I posted my first collage of photos from the annual Easter Parade and Easter Bonnets Festival on 5th Avenue, between 45 and 55th Street in Manhattan This year's festivities was held earlier (yesterday) and there was a cold snap of weather in the air. Nonetheless, everyone was out in their finest and most creative attires and bonnets. Here are the photos from the festival.
After the parade, I met up with fellow blogger, CityGirl15 of Gramercy Cafe and Eliot for brunch. It was great meeting them. They are the sweetest couple.

Your up late tonight. I know because it's late here and your 2 hours ahead of me. I have been looking for your blog since stumbling on to the Daily Paris Photo's a few days ago. So happy to have found you. New York is my favorite city in the world. I only get to visit 2 or 3 weeks a year but read everything I can New York related throughout the year.
I'll be checking in daily. Thanks so much. Your photo's are great as is your notations.

Ming, I love them! What a collection of bonnets adorning all those happy faces. Whew! Even the K-9 crowd is represented. Very nice work! And it was indeed work to capture and put that collage together!

I love your Easter parade photos!! I'm so jealous I couldn't be there. That must be quite the spectacle. Those were some very colorful bonnets. Sorry I couldn't meet up with you and the other bloggers! I'll have to check out CityGirl's site. Thanks for the visit to the parade!
I don't know how well spread this tradition is. Nothing like it in Paris. Would perhaps be a better idea than to introduce the Halloween, which has somehow flopped here.
Oh this is just great, Ing. Love all the hats - of course I'm partial to the dogs' hats too!
I answered your various questions on Menton and Monte Carlo. Briefly, the Kapoor Sky Mirror installation that you have in NY is also in Monaco - I believe there are several installed around the world.
I just LOOOVE the dog's bonnet!!!!
Thats a great collection of hats! I hope you made an effort too!
