This sunflower design is part of a huge iron gate in front a 5th Avenue store in midtown Manhattan. I am posting an old photo from my archive because I have not been out and about taking new photos this week due to work related issues.
And this weekend, I was in New Jersey (again) visiting an old college buddy and her boyfriend. They have just bought a karaoke machine and we spent the entire weekend singing and catching up on old times.
So have you ever sang at a karaoke bar before? What song did you (or would you) sing?

j'aime beaucoup de détail d'une grille, belle macro. par contre je n'aime pas les karaokes.
I like a lot of detail of a grid, beautiful macro. but I do not like karaoke.
The truth is, I've never sung karaoke either in public or at someone's home. I'd probably hurt my tonsils if I tried now, but about twenty years ago, I could do a pretty mean imitation of Blondie doing "Heart of Glass". I thought the movie "Duets" was interesting, and all the actors sang really well - Paul Giamatti was terrific at "Hello, It's Me".
Some of these iron fences are really works of art and many are vandalized by local hoodlums.
Have tried karaoke once! Promised myself (and the listeners) never to try again!
Pretty detail. I thought it was wooden at first glimpse.
I live in the land of karaoke and dislike karaoke. Gasp!
Ditto Monika, live in a land of karaoke, but I still enjoy it.:)

Karaoke? Only once, in a bar in Illinois somewhere after a wedding... can't remember what the song was but it was fun! But I don't usually inhabit karaoke bars, it was a one time deal!
I love sunflowers! Which store was this at the front of?
I've been to heaps of karaoke bars, but don't think I've ever sung because I don't want to subject anyone to my voice! That scene from My Best Friend's Wedding always springs to mind, when Cameron Diaz's character tries to serenade her fiance....I always CRINGE with embarassment for her!
So what did you sing? In the privacy of my friend's house, I would have gone with a bunch of 80's hits! :oP
I love this sunflower design. No karaoke for me but it sounds like you had a lot of fun!
Paz
I love singing Karaoke and one of the songs I have done is "My night to Howl" by Lorrie Morgan. We sing every Thurs. at the country club.
I can only agree with Paz. I'd leave the singing to better vocalists.
A simple, nice design in this photo.
The flower looks Springy!
I used to go to a Chinese restaurant in Queens (King Yum on Union Turnpike....for you Queens residents) that had karaoke on Friday nights. I never sang but it was fun to watch.
I sang «The Girl of Ipanema» at a Karaoke aboard a passengership called «The World»!! LOL!
congrats for getting some karaoke in, lol! I bet it was fun.
