This photo was taken from the 6th floor atrium of the Takashimaya Departmental Store on 5th Avenue and 55th Street. My friend and I were there for afternoon tea last week and decided to shop around afterwards. Most of the stuff sold here are very expensive so I left without buying anything.
So what did you buy recently?

Very shi-shi! Beautiful perspective looking down that circular staircase. Grand view!
Lovely shapes and colors. Today, I bought a small loaf of sourdough bread shaped like a crab!
c'est très beau et cela fait très intime.
it is very beautiful and it's very intimate.
Nice point of view!
A very nice shot! Of course, you can imagine that it must be expensive over there!
I bought a nice linen shirt, size L as usual. Kevin Klein makes them differently. I had to change for a XL; now the sleeves are too long! I will buy a cheaper one next time!
Nice photography.
Nice view, Ming.
Just wanted you to know I stopped by. Sorry for lack of comments recently. I have an update on my blog about my surgery and why . . . .
Happy Spring!

Beautiful composition.
Bought today: New MacBook. Daughter dropped the (not-so-)old one. It died. Bless her heart!
Very nice view! It looks pricey. Yesterday, I bought cream cheese and sour cream, and taught my daughter how to make her grandmother's cheesecake.
What a place!
I bought a new washer and dryer and believe you me...it has been an ordeal.
Wow it looks so beautiful, will put it on my To Do list of New York!
Hope you are well, missy
Ming...this photo is right on spot! At first glance it appeard as an archway..a closer look revealed the truth..amazing designs all over..the reflection of the ceiling lights give a hint of sparkling...Well done..
My latest purchase..a wonderful summer bag..Madras plaid, fabric and leather..satchel style by Tommy Hilfiger
I've never been to that store.... Guess I oughta take my camera!
It looks very expensive!
taka's expensive, yes, but i love it!! too bad msia and adelaide dun have it-- yet :>
I've never been in that store, but it does look interesting.
The last thing I purchased were groceries and essentials at Walmart (upstate NY) where the prices are 1/2 those of Manhattan.
I absolutely love that store. It's a pleasure for the eyes, not for the purse! I especially like their flower department: it is so beautiful. I need to go back, just to steal some ideas! ;)
a baguette
In Takashimaya, I usually just window shop.
