This photo was taken at the corner of Mercer and Prince Street in SoHo. The stairs below lead to the basement level restaurant called, The Lure and the stairs I'm standing on lead to the back door of the Prada store. So do you usually take the stairs or the elevator? I'm the lazy one -- I take the elevator every chance I get.

I think there is one elevator in Sequim...but in the big cities...always the elevator. Too many replaced joints not to.

I got to go visit him as soon as I tell you the photograph you posted today is pretty neat with all the straight lines in it. If you had to think this up it would be impossible.

Gosh, I do so love stairs. I walk them every chance I can vs. an elevator-unless I'm super-tired. I love photographs of stairs, and notice stairs whenever I pass them.Great capture!
I remember The Lure, but never saw it this way; probably because I don't think I ever went up to the Prada... The Takashimaya has some beautiful items for sale, but it seems those prices all took the lift! Steps would be easier...
I use the stairs. I have a thing about getting stuck in a lift (elevator)!
i'm lazy too, but try to take the stairs when i can.
I looove the stairs. A little shortcut you get all to yourself. Especially with how slow most elevators are in this city!

Nice photo Ming...I'm an elevator person usually..We stayed at a motel while on vacation once...Two levels...we were on the upper level..not a good thing lugging luggage up the stairs and down..
I like all the lines in this photo - vertical, horizontal, diagonal! I always take the stairs if I can; I don't trust elevators.
I also take the elevator every chance I get....except in the train stations, which the homeless use as a toilet....they stink!!!
