I went to the Brooklyn Museum a couple weeks ago to see the Murakami Exhibition but it had already closed. All that was left were a balloon and a statue by the artist at the inside entrance area of the museum. The day wasn't a total waste though. I got a chance to visit an old friend and we explored the different neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Like the saying goes: when life gives you lemon, make lemonade.
So do you have a favorite quote or phrase to share with us?

Great angle Mingman. "I seen a lotta guys in my time and you, you'll be allright." Peter Boyle, Taxi Driver
That's a cool shot! Love the colors. It makes me think that it cools down the heat....

I like Murakami. Somehow Pinkberry always makes me think of his art.
Oh, and here's my favorite quote recently: "Being married to the wrong person is like being in prison. Except you have to cook your own meals."
'I don't want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member'

d'accord belle photo (de quoi faire peur aux enfants ;o)) ) et superbe cette exposition.
agree beautiful picture (of what to scare the children ;o))) and this superb exhibition.
I like this photo -all that was left was a balloon, the party's over. Glad you rescued the day - it's really all about perception, isn't it?
My favorite saying: it's a feature, not a problem.
This is funny. You made your own installation. Good job.

I went to the Brooklyn Museum during my first trip to NY, last month.
I really enjoyed this place. The exhibition was terrific !
A great post and a cool question. One favorite of mine is by Robert Frost. Plenty of sappy things have been said about home--"Home is where the heart is" and "Home, sweet home," to name a couple. Frost said, "Home is where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in."
Great photo Ming. I agree - the visual effect of all the angles is very interesting. The balloon ads a funny touch!

Interesting photo, Ming. . . .I have not heard of that exhibit. Hope you had a fun day.
I *LOVE* quotations. . . . My favorite can change daily, but I seem to stick with "Well-behaved women seldom make history." (Laurel Thatcher Ulrich)
"Bloom where you are planted."
Great shot Ming...it kind of says "the partys over"...
Not a favorite quote but I really like this one...
An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind.

Bummer, I missed it too. :(
What about this one:
"To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness. I hope you're getting this down." ~ Woody Allen
"Do not procrastinate" :-)
Favorite quote.... "What goes around, comes around" or is it "What comes around, goes around"
Fabulous shot. One mean looking balloon.
A far as quotes, so many.
"It's not who you know, but what you know on who you know"
Wow what an...interesting balloon! A litle scary actually!
My favourite quote would have to be "Don't Die Wondering". I saw it on a ute a couple of years back and it has stuck by me ever since.
