Columbus Circle

I took this photo from the third floor of the inside of the Time Warner Center. In the photo, you can see Columbus Circle and 59th Street, which is the southern perimeter of Central Park. The Time Warner Center has a shopping mall, restaurants, offices and condominiums. It is one of the few shopping centers in the city.

So how was your weekend?

Have you noticed your photos are getting better and better and better and now you need to get that good camera.......??! :) I like this view but the grid makes it soo much more interesting. My weekend was ok. Thanks for asking.

How times have changed since I've walked past Columbus Circle. This is a marvelous updating.

It was quite nice, thanks -- hung out with my amazing 88-year-old mom.
Nice shot, Ming. I heard the Donald paid for the renovation of the circle. Well, his apartment does overlook it.

I find it amazing — and nice — that people actually hang out in that little park in the middle of the street. We have such monuments and parks in Manila, but people hardly ever go to them because it's so hard to cross the streets.

Two plays on Saturday and a family lunch on Sunday — thanks for asking. :)

How was your weekend?

Cool pic! First two-thirds of the weekend was great. Last third sucked. Sundays should be banned.

Yeah, Ming, how was YOUR weekend? 8^)

I cleaned house in anticipation of a landlord inspection, then volunteered to help a few hours for the pledge drive at our community supported Public Radio station, headquartered over in lovely Andersen Valley. I hadn't left Willits since August, and it felt grand!

I forgot to mention, I love this picture! Each rectangle seems to frame a perfectly interesting scene for itself.

That is a very nice view, especially through that window!!
I walked on Columbus Circle exactly 20 years ago for the last time. It is indeed time that I visist New York again.

I really like this photo.
i didn't realise those black lines belongs to a window grill, I thought this photo is one of your reflection photo.. coz it does look like one if you don't look carefully.

I like this photo a lot as it tells the story of your city better than most. From the sky scrapers to the city park, yellow taxi cabs and shopping. It is all here in one photo.

My weekend was fairly uneventful but relaxing. I cleaned the apartment, went out to brunch and caught up on some needed Zzzzzz.

Saturday I went to the Farmers Market and got some wonderful Tennessee tomatoes and picked up some Stone Crab (the first of the season.) Sunday the weather cooled (yipee!) and the Rays won! Life was good this weekend.
BTW - great shot.

Nice shot... That Time-Warner Center is right around the corner and I rarely go there... Actually, I wish it was somewhere else... It really doesn't "belong" here...

In my opinion, the best way to spend the weekend!

Hey, is that the view from Stone Rose? I was there about a year ago and I remember thinking what a great view it was from the windows.

Great photo - colorful. I took a similar shot with my little pocket digital in 2004 during construction on the plaza outside. It's at http://www.flickr.com/photos/oldeastsidr/280245993/

Sonia told me about your site...And I came over ASAP.....I grew up in and around Manhatten and spent so much time in the city...Looking at this picture brought back so very many memories.
My GREAT GREAT "Mouth Reconstructive Dentist" wax right there on Cental Park South...Between 5th and 6th.
I spent a YEAR in his Dental Chair--Staring at Central Park from his windows...Waaay back in 1950-51. I was only 19 going on 20....And had a Horrific mouthful of problems which this GENIUS of a Dentist solved! But, it took a good year!
Seeing this picture from this really wonderful perspective, reminded me of those days....!

I am enjoying looking at all your wonderful pictures of New York!
