Baltazar is a very nice French restaurant in SoHo. I have not been there in a long time but I did managed to get a shot of the inside of the restaurant through the huge windows on the street.
So where is your favorite restaurant?
Welcome to the city that never sleeps!

You should taste it soon...and tell us if it is as good as it looks ! My favourite restaurant is a little one "Le dragon D'Or""The golden Dragon" It's vietnamese food and it's really excellent !
Hi Ming! I’m glad I could take some time to get to your wonderful blog! This time to be rewarded with Baltazar! Great!
Have many favourites in different ports, but maybe the one I liked more was one no longer there: Chez La Vieille - Adrienne, Paris... ;)
The tram and the water towers is a great shot! We have a cable car in Lisbon, on the site of Expo 98; nice views... But our trams are legendary... ;))
Loved the pic of the waiting for the train post! Excellent!
Now, do you want to have a look at a magic place: Delos, Apollo’s birthplace and home to Dionysus sanctuary? Blogtrotter has it! ;))
Hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend!
Never been there, but I was going to make a post listing some restaurants in the city I would like to dine in. I'll probably create that one later tonight. As for my favorite restaurant, I'm going to go with "Sambuca" on West 72nd. Their Shrimp Parmesan is excellent! Can't go wrong with Italian food lol.
This might be one of my favorite restaurants. I've eaten here twice while visiting New York. I love the giant tray of fresh seafood! The steak is pretty good too.
Wow it looks so cozy. Perfect for a friday or saturday night drink and dinner.
Ming, I don't like thinking of you standing on the outside looking longingly through the window. Look there's an empty stool right next to that girl. Go on in and see if you can snake her away from that guy. Oh and have a good meal and tell me all about it. I don't go out to fancy restaurants all that much. Maybe I should.
wow. look at all those people with lives. ha.
Pffff...Too many favorite restaurants to choose! But this one seems really welcoming!
I haven't been to Balthazaar in a long time, but I stop into the bakery once in a while & pick up a loaf of their yummy bread. It is wonderful and not too pricey, either.
My favorite restaurant? One where someone else is footing the bill.
Blather From Brooklyn
mine's a little Japanese place in downtown Barcelona. would like to try this one out though. looks really lively.
Favourite anyone in France. Nice little Italian in the next town will do here. I'm with Virginia, get your ass in there and sink a glass of red, All for the blog of course.
Probably any place in NYC or San Francisco or our local neighborhood.
Shooting through the windows? It's a great place for breakfast/brunch. We went there one time for pastries and chocolate chaud. Nice but expensive, and a long wait at times.

Very cool. I've never been here before. I dont' think I have a fave restaurant.

Haven't yet been to Balthazar, and too hard to pick just one favorite. I can narrow it down to two or three—one's in Paris & the others are in Italy (maybe I should try to find one where I am, huh?
Seems not very true when I read the newspapers about food business suffering due to the recent economic turmoil. Look! People are still eating and drinking...it's pretty crowded huh? :)
Was there years ago when it first opened but haven't been there since.
I have many favorite restaurants, but Novita comes to mind right now.
^ i love all the photos here. i have always been fascinated with NYC and these pictures perfectly feed my curiosity.
my favourite restaurant right here in Singapore is The Soup Spoon. They sell very healthy soup, salad and sandwiches :D
Me wants to wine & dine! Joining u?
I have been to balthazar. This is one of the best french restaurant. Was kind of surprise by it.
balthazar is overrated.
i like indochine on lafayette, but i'm so poor that i haven't been able to go in 2 years. i'm not sure if i can still consider it my favorite restaurant anymore.
I haven't been to Balthazar in ages! My favourite restaurant is probably Jean-George's Nougatine in the Trump building just behind the globe you photographed recently. I recommend going for lunch, which makes it totally affordable.
