Lighted Stairs

The stairs you see here are actually the roof of the new TKTS booth at Time Square. [Click here to see the architect's rendition of the structure.] This photo was taken last night after I had dinner with Chuck of One A Day - Mostly Seattle and his wife, who are in town for a couple of days.

I took the camera out of my bag last weekend because it was low on battery and I forgot to put it back this morning when I left for work. So this photo was taken with my iPhone and it is totally unedited. Of course, I took over a dozen or so photos to get this one decent one.

So what have you forgotten to do recently?

So did Chuck convince you to buy a new camera? Well if you take these with a dumb phone, I guess you don't need a fancy schmancy new camera. Dang Ming. THis is reallllly good. I love this . Your composition is great!!!!

Heads up, Ming. Eric Tenin says he will be in NYC on the 27th and 28th. He's open to meeting bloggers there...

I had not yet seen the new TKTS is superb, strongly to Christmas photos.
Lately, I forgot my batteries for my camera to take photos of a concert, fortunately in the salle I found someone who had piles of reserves for its own APN stroke of luck for me o)

The orange roof is really an eye-catching part of the structure, which is unusual in itself. Forget something?! At may age? Too numerous to count!

Saw this in our newspaper - looks fabulous! First time I visited Times Sq was 1986 - oh how much it has changed - all for the better - between then and my last visit on 2005!

It’s Sculpture By The Sea time in Sydney, and I’m taking my visitors on the coastal walk Sydney Daily Photo

Your iPhone does quite a credible job, Ming.

Thanks for your hospitality!! It was fun, once again.

Forget something? Well I FORGOT to answer your question for one-HA And E's right, Le Roi de CDP is landing in NYC soon. YOu guys better look alive and get that red carpet rolled out. You all will be impossible to live with after a visit from Monsieur! Ming you might need that new fancy camera after all to impress him. Wouldn't want him to see you schlepping around using a phone to take pictures!:)

The problem with asking me if I have forgotten to do anything recently is troubling me because I just can't remember what it is I have forgotten.

I like having my phone on hand for a quick snapshot. I am often surprised at the quality of the pictures.

You gotta meet Eric! I'm really impressed with this shot. I'd never of guessed it was an iphone, that orange is gorgeous. Chuck has to be one of my favourite dailies so glad you all had a great time. Do we get to see any pics?

Outrageous orange! Actually, the entire concept of the structure's so outrageous — and I adore it!

Forget some thing? We're only allowed to list one?! Are you nuts?

Uh, don't answer that.

Oh, Ming, you have got to meet Eric! And tell us all about it!

this pic has a retro feel for some reason. I keep forgetting to charge my MP3 player for the gym....it has the special gym tracks....but if I don't charge it, it won't charge me!

Nice shot of an interesting roof.

Hi Ming! Wow, this looks much nicer than the old booth...
As for the Columbus from Time Warner, I've already seen that one... ;))
Meanwhile, Blogtrotter has a Rhapsody in Blue post!! Not many words, just the rhapsody! Enjoy!

I've taken the camera without the battery in it.

Where the heck is this. I completely missed it. When I was prowling around Times Square TKTS seemed to be in or next to the Marriott.

Now I have to go back.

Thanks for visiting my blog the other day. I make notes from your posts about things to do when we're in NY and we lunched at the communal dining room on Hudson and it was great. Saw these stairs in the Times yesterday or the day before- I'm so busy even my NYT are piling up- It hadn't opened when we were there the last of Sept. It's great to see them in color. It will be on our list for next year. Thanks for your great posts.

Not bad for a phone! I love this juicy orange and the couple on the front is so well focused, they look like actors at the centre of the scene.

Love the color of those steps.... even if it was taken with an iPhone.

I'm always forgetting my camera, so most of my photos are iPhone-d (and edited) too.

So, where did you go for dinner?

Yikes -- I forgot to email you about Eric of PDP! Actually don't know whether he wants to get together on the 27th or 28th, but would love for him to meet you and the other NY bloggers—and vice-versa.
(Actually will email you now.)
This photo is amazing!

Talk about orange! This is so striking, I liked the link too. I always wonder how architects come up with design ideas like this.

Glad you had a good time with Chuck :)

Oh, weird..are those tourists sitting on the roof? I haven't been down there in a few weeks; I'll have to go and check out the new booth.

And I can't remember anything these days!

See? Great picture with the iPhone! It really is a matter of practice and taking more than one. Of course, the problem then is to pick "the one" among all the trials.

ah, that's awesome. I remember when they had this competition. I don't think the stairs were lit then, they were just solid red.

awesome shot!

Yeah, I gotta get over there... I'm usually out in Times Square so early that they are roped off to be cleaned... I want to climb to the top and take some shots from there, though...
