This is the view looking north towards Times Square on Broadway Avenue in midtown. The photo, from my archive, was taken sometime between Christmas and New Year. I haven't had a chance to go out to take new ones yet.
So how has your week been?
Welcome to the city that never sleeps!

terrific!
My MONTH has been great. January means summer holidays for me. I've been off work since about Dec 18 and go back Jan 28th. Bliss.
One Sydney-sider celebrates Barack Obama’s inauguration by tinkling the ivories
bonne semaine, mais triste de voir que le superbowl se jouera sans les Giants....
Times Square always has me thinking "New Year" anyhow.
Not so good, I'm hoping in the second half...
No worries ... you took it when you were there, so no shame in that. I almost always get several posts worth when out and about. Some days it's simply not possible to get something new, though that is certainly my goal even if a bit unrealistic at times.
We must google map here nex time...
As long as you have photos like this in reserve, you don't have to go out!
Ming -- Chuck and Peter are right: You have to stockpile and pull out and oldie but goodie occasionally. (And this is a goodie.)
How's my week been? Well, yesterday was certainly a high point. I feel kind of bad for people who didn't get a thrill over that historic moment, because it sure did (still does) feel good!
It captures the real buzz on the approach to Times Square. Great photo.
this is times square..yea!
Great shot!
When did they create this mall? I was in the area last week and missed this one.
Great photo Ming - it just shouts New York!
My week's been good, but really busy and tiring...Obama's inauguration aired at 1.30am here in Perth and I got up to watch it, so spent all of yesterday half asleep! Definitely worth the lack of sleep though ;o)
I would have to agree with Alexa. My week has been tiring and yet not really productive, but the highlight really was the Inauguration! I feel very proud of my country, and am touched by the significance of what took place this week. Although I didn't vote for our new President (nor his opponent) I will stand behind him and lift him up in prayer. It's truly a historical moment.
Ming, one must never put the word avenue after Broadway. Broadway is independant and perfectly happy to remain that way

these seating places have worked better than I thought.
Brave of you to venture into Times Square territory!
This view is amazing! Have to get back; I feel there have been many changes around... ;))
I know that neighborhood!
I always want to go hang out there! Maybe in the Spring or summertime...
