This is one of the subway entrances to the B, D, F, V and 7 trains at Bryant Park on 42nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. The white tents in the background are where the New York Fashion Week shows are being held this week.

what a nice representation of NY subways!
Iconic image of NY. Wonderful!
Delightful shot.
The entrance looks kind of smallish though, if there's a need to evacuate the station for some reason. Then again, there would be other entrances as well.
Happy subway day !
Nice picture of what (before the fashion show?) seems to be a very quiet subway entrance!
Subways have always intrigued me... I love and hate them at the same time. They are sometimes dirty, yet very democratic and cozy. They are very practical yet force you into the same space with weird folks, at times. Taking them can be a learning experience. I love your pic!
Your site is a favorite place to visit. Enjoy your 'take' on the City!
Nice subway shot. I happened to post one today, too.

Hi Ming!
Wonderful framing!!
So, everybody was busy with Valentine’s Day, nobody paid attention to Rajasthan? Great mistake... ;))
Have a great Sunday!!

Hi Ming, happy Subway Day!
Nice pic, the white tent makes it appear more wintery.

... Right down the street... More or less...
Ah, this brings back memories. I spent a week in New York a few years ago and visited Bryant Park every day to do some free wifi surfing (checking emil, posting blog posts, calling friends over Skype etcetera). I stayed at a great hotel a block or two away.
Happy subway day!
Lovely. Is it true what I heard, that they're moving Fashion Week uptown?
