This conveyor belt sends out sweet treats and chocolates at the Charbonnel et Walker cafe inside Saks Fifth Avenue, the departmental store. I have seen sushi platters served on conveyor belts at restaurants before but this is my first encounter with conveyor belt sweets. So have you seen anything like this before?

conveyor belts, that is funny. I don't think I would want sweets to go by me on a conveyor belt. I think I would like sushi though. It is fun too try different sushi or dim sum. You can eat lots of those items but only one sweet.
this is interesting concept. when i read Saks Fifth Avenue, the thing that came to mind is Becky from Shopaholic series. ;P
Goodness, the nightmare of cheap sushi idea continues...
Sweets by conveyor belt: that's Paradise (or Hell?)...
No, I've never seen anything like this! I'd like to try it.
Good job they put a glass bowl on each cake, I wouldn't like it otherwise...
I'd sit and wait until I've seen all the varieties and then I'd pick up one. Or two...
beautiful place , perfect for sweet tooth ;)
No, and I don't think I want to! I might end up a diabetic!
Mmm... haven't seen this before, not even here in Paris, but the mere idea gets my taste buds going. How delish'! Food for eyes and body;)
Ohhh I would totally be into that! I've seen the sushi ones, from a distance but I don't like sushi so I haven't experienced the 'food belt'. How awsome! Ohh I'm drooling at the thought of chocolate brownies passing by me in a single,c ontinuing liiineee.....*drool*
That's a great idea for sweets. as you, too, wrote, I saw it with Sushi. but why not with cookies in a café?
Cash in different denominations going around on the conveyor belt would be fun. It could be a game like musical chairs! If it stops in front of the customer, they win!! Otherwise, never seen anything like that. Also glad the food is covered.
I like these kinds systems but never see them here where we live. You are so lucky.

No, but can I take as many plates as I want? ;-)
Hi Ming!
Sorry I couldn’t visit you for the last two weeks! I’m trying to catch-up and see the wonders you have around!
Only sushi, not cakes... ;)
Loved the Central Park, but the fire escape looks a bit hard to use...
The Promenade, on the contrary, feels attractive!
Meanwhile, one of the most beautiful Forts in India waits you and your comments at Blogtrotter: – The Amber Fort! Enjoy and have a great weekend!
cool!
I hope they're selling lots of sweets because I heard their retail business is not doing too well.
This is like a dream come true for me! I have a real sweet tooth. What a perfect invention, forget the wheel or fire, this is the one!
