St. Patrick's Day Parade - Queens

We had our St. Patrick's Day Parade in Sunnyside, Queens yesterday afternoon. In this photo, you can see Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City (the older gentleman with the blue tie) and Christine Quinn, Speaker of the City Council (the lady next to him). A few steps behind them is Mr. Bloomberg's main challenger in the mayoral election later this year, Anthony Weiner.

So are you politically involved? Do you go out and campaign for your candidate?

A St. Patrick's Day Parade is a great way to start off March!
Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for Spring though.
PS Love your theme photo too btw.

I vote often and regularly. I also follow political news closely. I worked for one candidate who lost. I used to donate money as well.

Ah, the duties of a mayor. What do you mean, "older" man? Heh. Heh.

Does Weiner have a chance? Probably not with all Bloomberg's money.

I'm a Democrat, but I once attended an election rally for a friend who was running for Insurance Commissioner, who was a Republican. That's been the extent of my political involvement!

Ah, Mikey!! I wonder how his little trick to expend to a 3rd turn will play.
I thought St Patrick's was much later than that. I had the 7th or 17th in mind.
