Kids usually go rock climbing on the southern side of Central Park, near 60th Street and 6th Avenue. You can see a group of them on the lower left of the photo. But the most impressive view is the architecture above the tree line.
So do you like hiking?

I think you really caught something here - the different styles of architecture stand out and yet blend to make a cohesive whole.
This is a very special photo!
love the contrast between the trees in the foreground and the tall buildings behind it. instead of mountains, you have skyscrapers in nyc. that's nice.
Excellent shot !!!
It is impressive, indeed. Haven't been hiking in ages.
paz
great shot. I love New York and need to get back there soon! Your photos reach out to me to return.
This says "New York" more than any other vista. The big chunk of rock and trees in front, which could only be Central Park, and the varying ages of skyscrapers with their varied roof lines.
i love your posts. you make me feel like i'm so near to nyc, regardless that i'm on the opposite coast
