Mid-Month Subway Theme Day

It is mid-month subway theme day again. This photo was taken at the Times Square/42nd Street subway station. The station is one of the biggest and busiest in the city with connecting lines for the N, W, R, Q, 1, 2, 3, 7 and 9 subway trains. It is also adjacent to the New Jersey PATH stations (subway service to New Jersey) and a block from the Amtrak tand other regional train services at Pennsylvania Station.

j'adore cette peinture de Roy Lichtenstein sur Times Square, elle est magnifique et fait penser au métro de l'avenir

I love this painting by Roy Lichtenstein on Times Square, she is beautiful and is reminiscent of the subway of the future

It certainly seems busy: what with all those lines coming out/into it. How many levels are there underground? Is there any above-ground evidence that there is a station below?

I like tyhe tiles: is there any pattern to the colour scheme from station to station?

Obvioulsy no tourists around; people seem to know where they are going. Probably a problem for tourists with all these lines! :-)

Love that artwork! I walk through that part of the Times Square station often. Nice of you to point out the beauty that surrounds us all, if we'd just stop to take notice!

this is so cool. I've never seen this before. Is it permanent?

Lichtenstein-O-Rama! I haven't seen this part of the station.

We got into town late this afternoon and are about to hit the streets and, particularly, tables.

Well I"m glad to see you shot your own subway shot. Looks like Peter is 'borrowing" again! HA I don't know why the one he offered you didn't work out. :)
