La Vie en Rose

The rose bushes outside my apartment building are in full bloom this week. I guess it is a good sign that the summer is here. I played with the macro feature on my camera and managed to get a couple of good shots of the blooms.

Disclaimer: I did not plant nor nurture the rose bushes in the photo. The building gardener did all the work.

If you love macro shots, please check out L'heure Bleue's blog. She has an amazing photo of a morning dew drop sitting precariously on a leave of a rose bush.

Yes. This is really pretty. Dark hue of pink. Nice.

Utterly beautiful. The shape of the petals and the colour with subltle shades of pink are lovely to behold.

The building gardener seems to have his/her way with roses! That's a lovely one.

And the drop of dew was a miraculous vision. Thanks for directing us there.

That's so beautiful Ming. I think garden roses are the best and have the most magical fragrance, as opposed to "perfect" hot house varieties. Your gardener must take great pride in his/her work. Thanks for sharing this wonderful image with us.

Very pretty indeed, Ming. You managed to capture the textures and freshness of the rose.

I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:

www.americanlegends.blogspot.com

If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.

Thanks,
David

Roses are nice. I wish someone would invent a smelling blog. Incidentally, I've always found the colour red to be a bit difficult for macro shots.
