Last month, I posted a photo of what I had for brunch before I went to the museum. Then Chef Paz of The Cooking Adventures of Chef Paz told me about the Sunday Brunch theme photo for June 30th started by Rosa of Rosas Yummy Yums.
So here is another photo of what I had for brunch a couple weekends ago: scrambled egg burritos topped with salsa verde and Mexican queso blanco served with black beans and home fries (potatoes). Oh, and most importantly, I had my three cups of coffee with milk, no sugar. Also check out what Todd of Postcards from Hell's Kitchen had for brunch.
So what is your addiction of choice? Coffee? Chocolate?

Oh, Ming, that dish is making me hungry! How do they get the black beans to stay that black? When I cook 'em they always turn brownish. Anyway... My addiction is chocolate, not the dark one (that's too healthy, I guess), but that sweet Swiss/Belgian milk chocolate that makes you soooo happy the minute it melts in your mouth . :)
fenix - I don't cook so the food in the photo was taken at my neighborhood diner. :-)
Now that is a breakfast I would love to eat! Yum, Yum. As for my addiction, chocolate or coffee...do I have to choose?
It is a nice-looking picture but it doesn't remind me of ham and eggs with toast and coffee I am used to.
I hope you have a nice weekend.

looks simply delicious. :) I just cooked some szechuan prawns ;)
That's about what I drink in the morning if I go to a restaurant. If not, probably two cups. That food looks yummy. My worst addiction is chocolate by far.
Today I also posted something yummy. And, if you'd like to see more of my vacation, just click on the bold link.
My fav. breakfast...(from Louisiana)
---------------------------
Downhome style...
Hand-molded plain flour biscuits cut in half with homemade (rue-based) sausage- white flour and milk gravy on top. Side of scrambled eggs, large Community coffee.
Classic La...
Ham and Cheese quiche
Cheese grits
Assorted fruit
Barrell sausage or Ham Steaks
Mimosa (O.Juice and Champagne)
New Orleans...
Beignets smothered in powder sugar from Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter or New Orleans. A thick cup of N.O. coffee too.

Ah-eeh! I ga-ron-tee!

Oh. My. Goodness. That looks scrumptious! I want some now!
Paz
Hummm! Looks yummy!
My addiction is coffee with milk no sugar, too. And very hot!
Looks really appetizing!!!
However, I would definitely have the coffee without milk .. and without sugar!
Mmmmmmmm? Looks very interesting - so many wonderful flavours. Yes, I could eat that for brunch.
As for addictions. Coffee! The whole ritual of coffee. Don't you think addictions are rituals as well as enjoying whatever it is? I try to limit it to three very strong espressos a day but don't always succeed. I can't cope with American coffee, ie: coloured water! Don't all hit me at once! Thank God for Starbucks is what I say when I come to America.
Oh, my Ming - I guess what does not kill you, only makes your stronger!
I'm addicted to life. Can't seem to shake it ;-)
it looks good, with my addiction : coffee, coffee and coffee (yes, 3 !!) without milk or sugar.
Looks good, but as "Delta" points out, it's hard to pass up a beignet with that chickory coffee and some smooth jazz floating in the summer breeze...okay wake me up, I must be dreaming again. I'm hungry.
Coffee, definately coffee...and maybe some more coffee with that. Heavy cream, raw sugar and for extra special a shot of Frangelica (Hazelnut liguor)or Kalua. And then for afters...more Coffee! Breakfast? With all that coffee who needs/has room for Breakfast!?
My favorite breakfast is breakfast tacos. You say burritos. I love Migas. That is scambled eggs with bits of tortilla chips, tomato, onion, jalepenos, and cheese on a fresh flour tortilla.Yummy!
I can eat about 500 korean dumplings at one sitting.
Thanks for your participation!
My God, that looks scrumptious! I'd love to eat some for dinner...
Cheers,
Rosa
