Central Park Walk

This is the foot path leading to the Literary Walk from 5th Avenue. The naked trees will be sprouting leaves in the next month or so when Spring arrives. It will turn the landscape into a different color.

So where do you like to go for a walk?

I kind of miss the snow in CP.
Me? I like to walk all over the city, especially in exotic neighborhoods. I think I would be absolutely miserable if all the walks I could do were confined to malls, if I needed a car to get out. This is one of the reasons I cannot conceive living in a city where you cannot walk.

Very nice mood to that photo.

I'm a big fan of walking even tho I live in Los Angeles. I'm lucky in that I live in a place where both Sunset Strip and Rodeo Dr. are both within walking distance.

There's no place where I don't enjoy walking. I think its extremely relaxing and entertaining. Much better than a movie.

"Lungomare", or on the long stretch of promenades by the sea, here.

j'aime me promener tout simplement dans ma ville, sans aucun but, juste pour le plaisir de se promener et si j'ai de la chance de faire des photos.

I love just walking in my city, but no, just for fun to walk and if I'm lucky to make photos.

I love walking along the Seine River banks - just like I did yesterday. Next fall when I'll be in NY, nothing will keep me away from Central Park!

Wow, that must look beautiful in the autumn.

What a chance you have to have the Central Park! This proves that you can have nice walks also if you live in a big city - at least in some of them!

I'm sure that the park is gorgeous with spring and summer foilage. Right now I like nothing better than walking along the ocean. The sound and the sights are magnificient.

Can't wait for spring in CP!!! I like walking on a walking trail not too far from my home. It has a lovely creek running alongside it. I have posted several photos of different parts of it. I go daily with my IPOD. As Kevin said, it's so relaxing.

I would love to walk ANYWHERE in NYC because I Big Puffy Heart the city! We visited last February and I can't wait to come back. I am sure we walked along this path in Central Park but it was covered in snow at the time!

Great photo, yeah it won't be long until spring.

A friend has just given me a book called 212 Views of Central Park. It is a really nice book with loads of (212!) great photos.

Gorgeous view of CP. We walked along that area when we were in NYC and also over by the carousel.

Looks almost like you are getting ready for spring.

I like walking in parks and along the beach.

Oh I miss those walks! And when the Spring comes, we throw our blankets down and enjoy the renewal time.

just found your photos tonight after returning to TN from NY last night. i was in CP saturday at dusk and saw the most beautiful picture, but as life would have it, i had just used the last bit of battery life in my camera and could not capture the shot. perhaps you can shoot it? i entered the SE corner of CP at the steps off 5th Ave (near the art vendors) and walked only a short distance to cross the stone bridge and exit on 59th in front of the hotel. along the footpath is a smaller path off to the left lined on both sides with street lamps/lightposts. it goes downhill slightly and winds just a bit and has a small spruce pine at the right fore-corner. the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom and overhang the path. it was breathtaking at dusk. i'd love to see what you could capture of it.
