This Rickshaw Dumpling Truck was one of four food vendors I saw around East Village earlier this week. The other trucks included one selling Mister Softee ice cream, the Mud Truck that sells gourmet coffee, and one selling French-style crepes. I have also seen vendors at other times selling Belgian wafflers and gourmet ice creams from a truck around this area. So why are there so many of these vendors here? Well, they primarily serve the college crowd that tends to hang out in the East Village during week days.
So have you or would you eat someone sold from a truck like this?

I drove an ice cream truck for the summer between high school and college in St. Louis, so I am all for supporting vendors, althoug I am cautious about buying food that is prepared on the street.
Pre-packaged food is safer. I never eat street food in Africa or Asia, or parts of Latin America.
I like the fact that for Americans such as me, in Costa Rica we can drink the tap water and eat the food.
Great colours.
Would maybe buy food if vendor looked clean & tidy.
Happy Easter
God it looks great, Oh I could just eat a waffle right now and with a coffee as well!
Hope you are well and you are getting some nice weather for Easter.
In a word, no.
I have to agree with B Squared...
I have in fact eaten this very truck's dumplings .. they were up here last weekend .. and I have had the waffles as well also parked up here at the same spot in fact as the dumpling sellers tho not at the same tine .. and there was a dessert truck as well .. they all park in front of Fairway which I find amusing AND convenient.
You are lucky to have such a wide variety of food available!
Oh, Send him my way... NOW!!! Please???
Awwww, now DUMPLINGS I could do!!! yummo!!!
i totally love food trucks.
this is such a cute truck, I would totally try it. I wish they served xiao long bao but that's asking too much I know.
Those guys often park in front of Fairway for the feet traffic. The truck is very cute. The food, I've heard, is not very good.
