How Cold Was It Yesterday?

So how cold was it yesterday? It felt as cold as this photo. No, we didn't have snow yesterday but we had pretty strong gusty wind that bites. This photo was taken last month after we had a snow storm.

So do you prefer to be cold or hot?

Snowflake on my Scarf

It snowed slightly on Friday afternoon as I was heading into the city and a perfect little snowflake fell on my scarf. I quickly took out my camera and carefully snapped a macro-shot of it. How beautiful is that snowflake? The other white spots are the not-so-perfect snowflakes.

So has any random incident of beauty happened in your life lately?

Another Snow Day

We are expecting over 3 inches (7.6 cm) of snow in the morning. I'm hoping (praying actually) for a snow day so I don't have to go in to work. I want to sleep in till 10 AM and have a lazy breakfast at the local diner.

So what would you do if you had a snow day or an unexpected day off from work?

Winter Snow

It snowed (again) this morning and here is the scene outside my living room window. Sorry for the blurry photo but this was the best one out of the bunch I took.

So what is your idea of a good breakfast when it is snowing outside?

Chili Bouquet

I saw this interesting bouquet where dried chili peppers were used to add some colors to the yellow blooms. Since winter is here, there aren't many fresh flowers at the market any more.

So what is your favorite thing about the winter season?

Cold Wet Winter Night

I got back from Montreal last night to a cold wet winter weather like this. This photo was taken a couple weeks ago in SoHo.

So what is the weather like at your hometown?

I Feel Naked

I was on my way to dinner on a very cold evening this past weekend when I noticed this tree looking very naked and cold.

Have you ever felt vulnerable or exposed?

Salt Spreader

New York City received another dousing of snow and sleet yesterday. School children enjoyed the day off while adults were outside shoveling snow so the cars could get out.

I saw this salt spreader on the sidewalk in my neighborhood. The workers were still shoveling snow further up the street. I assumed that once the snow is cleared, the blue colored salt will be deposited on the street via the wheel barrel looking machine.

Does anyone know what the salt is blue?
